Baked Acorn Squash with a Maple Syrup Drizzle
Ingredients:
2 acorn squash, halved
3 tablespoons First Chair maple syrup
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
Freshly ground nutmeg, to taste
Salt, to taste
Preparation:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Place the squash, cut sides up, on a baking sheet.
In a small bowl, mix the melted butter and maple syrup. brush the cut sides of the squash with the mixture.
Sprinkle with ground nutmeg and salt, to taste.
Roast for 40 minutes, or until tender.
Broil on low for 4 minutes to caramelize.
