Maple Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. brussels sprouts, trimmed

  • 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil

  • 3 tablespoons of First Chair Vermont maple syrup

  • 4 slices of thick-cut bacon, sliced

  • 1/2 teaspoon of course salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper

Preparation:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

  2. Place the brussels sprouts in a baking dish, preferably a cast iron pan.

  3. Drizzle with olive oil and maple syrup; toss.

  4. Sprinkle with bacon and season with salt and pepper.

  5. Roast until the brussels sprouts are caramelized and the bacon is crispy, approximately 40 minutes. Toss halfway through.

  6. Broil on high for 5 minutes.

  7. Enjoy hot out of the oven!
